General Guidelines
Freight Forum is a networking platform with thousands of registered members which do business with each other everyday. This page will outline some rules which are in effect for all members of Freight Forum. In instances where the terms of use are broken, Freight Forum will delete members accounts or issue a lifetime ban in order to maintain a good experience for the other members.

Fraud: From time to time, Freight Forum may monitor messages sent through its system to ensure there is no abuse or fraud taking place on the site. This is to protect the users and block any potential fraudsters from using the site again. If you feel you have been contacted by someone seeking to defraud you, send a report to freightforum (at) gmail.com.
Phishing: Phishing is a malicious practice where people will seek to defraud you by asking your personal information such as your bank account number, passwords, birthday, or other private information. If you suspect someone of phishing, send a report to freightforum (at) gmail.com.
Nonsense: If it does not have to do with international trade or shipping, it does not belong on Freight Forum. Report the misconduct of other users to freightforum (at) gmail.com.
Shippers
We warmly welcome all of our shipper users and hope they find success and convenience through the usage of the site. This section will outline some advice to give shippers a better chance of success when using the site.
Use of Quotation System: When using the quotation system, be as specific and accurate as possible when inputting the information about your shipment. A clear and accurate representation of your shipment will let freight forwarders know that you are serious about business. Take advantage of the "comments" section when requesting your quote; you can use this space to input more information about your cargo, where it is located now, and other specifics such as if it needs further inland forwarding after unloading at port of destination, etc. Input the information that is relevant to your shipment, and help give freight forwarders a better idea of how they need to help you.
Freight Forwarders
We warmly welcome all of our freight forwarding users and hope that you will find new partners and customers through the use of the site. Freight Forum has a high expectation for its Freight Forwarder users and we encourage you to show your professionalism and deliver the highest quality rate quotations and offer friendly and helpful communications with the other users on the site. The users of Freight Forum are serious about gaining new partnerships and successfully executing all of their shipments, so help yourself and get off on the right foot by delivering professional communications while using the site.
When issuing quotations you should include all of the information pertinent to the schedule and quotation data such as shipping line, transshipment, date of expiry, and all of the rest which you already know about. Giving a complete and full picture of the rate quotation will give the shipper all the information he/she needs, and they will be left with a good impression with you and will likely contact you back. You just may have gained a lifelong customer and partner.
